Woman of Waterpower Award

Since 2018, WaterPower Canada (WPC) and Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE) have partnered together to recognize the achievements made by individual women in the waterpower sector. Waterpower has played a significant role in Canada’s history and will continue to grow in prominence as Canada seeks to shift from fossil fuels to renewable and non-emitting resources. As role-models, mentors, educators, and leaders, women in waterpower continue to lead the charge in growing, strengthening, and promoting the sector. The Woman of Waterpower Award celebrates and highlights the dedication and contributions of women in the sector, while also inspiring and encouraging women to pursue opportunities in waterpower.
